Indoor air quality management Sydney

Clean environments for clean air

We offer indoor air quality management in Sydney when cleaning. The quality of the air inside commercial premises is crucial for good health and well-being. Keeping clean and healthy office environments is of paramount importance for many business owners and facility managers, but despite such efforts many offices continue to suffer from poor indoor air quality. This can result in significant adverse impacts on health and the environment, including lower performance (concentration, calculation and memory), skin irritation and hyper-sensitivity all of which are among the most common health issues arising from exposure to poor indoor air quality.

Our approach to air quality management in Sydney – when cleaning is concerned

Xlent Cleaning understands and acknowledges the importance of indoor air quality and ensures that nothing it does has an adverse impact on indoor air quality. To ensure clean air and a healthy environment, we have developed measures that focus on maintaining clean air while carrying out cleaning activities. This includes but is not limited to the following

1. Green Cleaning program

Cleaning chemicals can have a significant impact on indoor air quality, especially through volatile organic compounds. Heavily scented or harsh cleaning chemicals release substances into the air, polluting the indoor environment. To address these problems, Xlent Cleaning uses only green cleaning chemicals which do not contain substances that adversely affect the soil, air, water, or wildlife.

2. Using quality products

Xlent Cleaning only uses products that are designed to work effectively. The benefit of having quality products is that they reduce the amount of air-borne pollution by reducing or alternating the ways in which cleaning tasks are done. For instance, micro-fibre cloths reduce the amounts of chemicals needed and high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) certified vacuum cleaners filter very fine dust particles.

3. Using four-stage high efficiency particulate air filtration vacuuming

Dust particulates are among the primary cause of poor indoor air quality and can cause allergies and serious respiratory diseases. Xlent Cleaning uses vacuum cleaners that use high-efficiency particulate air filters as part of their filtration systems. This filtration technique is beneficial for those who may suffer from asthma and allergies because the filter traps the finest dust particles (including dust mites, pollen and mould).  High-efficiency particulate air filtration vacuuming is designed in such a way that all the air is drawn into the machine is then expelled only through the filter.

4. No contamination – minimising cross-contamination

Chemical contamination may produce un-wanted or un-pleasant odours which may contribute to air pollution. Xlent Cleaning, ensure that chemicals such as solvents are not mixed to cause adverse effects.

5. Effectively carrying out periodic cleaning

Periodic cleaning jobs such as carpet cleaning, freezer cleaning, and spring cleaning can be done effectively to foster a clean environment and healthy air. Xlent Cleaning creates checklists for the special cleaning tasks that need to be done so that facilities and premises do not reach the stage where unpleasant or harmful odours are present.
